Putting the “horse”
back in horseshoes Around the world, at top competitions and
in quiet backyards, horses are shod with versatile St. Croix
horseshoes. Manufactured in rural Forest Lake, Minnesota,
these horseshoes are designed by farriers themselves. St.
Croix Forge crisscrossed America and the world
listening to farriers and talking to horseshoe supply dealers
to find out what farriers really want and what horses really
need.
St. Croix Forge was
started by the Carlson family in 1984 and the talented workforce
led by tool-and-die-maker Curt Carlson and his four
sons Ken, Bob, Mike, and Clint set out to build a better
drop-forged horseshoe. Using information from their conversations
with farriers, within a few years they had created a product
selection that found mass acceptance in the US market. Today
St. Croix Forge is the largest manufacturer of ready-made
horseshoes in North America. The company was acquired by Mustad
International Group in 1999.
St. Croix Forge is proud
to be known for products that are easy to use, economical
to buy, and good for the horse. Whether it's a simple shoe
for a trail horse or a complex clipped shoe for a jumper,
St. Croix's workmanship is appreciated by everyone who sells,
nails and wears these shoes. |
